Sea Beggars Sailing Into The Sunset

Sea Beggars Sailing Into The Sunset

Today Providence Christian College administration announced the immediate cancellation of all Sea Beggar athletic programs. Six weeks ago, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's golf and women's golf were suspended indefinitely, but now President Steven Kortenhoeven and the college administration made the decision this morning to also cancel baseball, women's volleyball and not start cross country and track. Therefore, there will be no athletic programs at Providence moving forward.

The Sea Beggars had a great season this year with many of our programs achieving great accomplishments and making program history. The baseball program achieved 18 wins this season making history with the most wins in a season. Women's volleyball entered the Cal Pac conference playoffs for the second time in school history and excelled throughout the season even with a limited roster.

With the season and athletic department ending this year, all of the student-athletes and coaches are looking back at their time at Providence and remembering all the great memories they had together. Thank you to all of the student-athletes, coaches, and staff for your commitment to Providence Christian College athletics and for representing the Sea Beggars with pride. Each of your impacts on the institution, the athletic department, and each other will not be forgotten, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
